A star-studded cast of local musicians is coming together to assist a South Berwick man suffering from a rare form of brain cancer. The Living Every Moment concert takes place on Sunday, Jan. 8, at the Regatta Banquet and Conference Center in Eliot.
Proceeds from the concert will go to the family of Paul Agakian, a 34-year-old Durham native recently diagnosed with malignant brain cancer. The money will help offset medical expenses and day-to-day costs for his wife and two young children.
Among the performers are Dan Blakeslee, TJ Wheeler, Dave Gerard, The New England Bluegrass Band, Carri Coltrane, Full Chord Press, Bob Halperin and Mike Rogers, The Shaw Brothers with Taylor Whiteside, Billy Butler, Tim Theriault, Josh Jones, Dylan Schwartz-Wallach and Agakian’s brother, Roger Martin.
There will also be a silent auction and raffles with donated artwork and crafts, concert and game tickets, and gift certificates from local businesses and restaurants. Guests can also make direct contributions at the concert or at various businesses around the Seacoast that have put out donation cans.
The event takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. at 28 Levesque Drive in Eliot, Maine. Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance from select locations.
